I had the same problem and they switched me from Stannous to Sodium Fluoride. After switching I have had no more problems with stained teeth.
There are numerous brands available, so ask you dentist, but as a reference I am using a 1.1% Sodium Fluoride product called Neutra Maxx 5000 Gel.
