Well I went to the Doc's (ENT)today, now 16 weeks out, and he said it was quite normal. It allways has some level of pain, low mostly. When I eat cruncky food it hurts more (duh1) and when I exercise it hurts from the dry mouth breathing. So I am getting more patient and accepting the dry mout, lack of taste, soreness and weakness from muscle loss.
I guess it really does take a year to recover!

Clear at the 6 year mark!
Back to swimming, biking and running! just a tad slower
never regained my weight, even when I eat lots and lots, just a skinny guy now
Just way glad to be seeing the green side up!
