I just celebrated my 2 year anniversary of treatment ending. I have suffered from many mental problems since the cancer. I have been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder, depersonalization and major depressive disorder. I started group counseling a few months back and am seeing their staff psychiatrist. I finally found a psychiatrist who has diagnosed me right and am on the right combination or meds. I feel better than I have felt since the treatments were over. I am getting ready to go back to work parttime and work my way into full time. I give all the credit to God and I feel without Him I wouldnt be to the point where I am today.
Thanks all for listening, Billy

Too many don't. I agree - we don't walk alone - God is with us and it sounds like you are on the right track to reclaiming a well balanced life. Thrilled to hear you are physically healthy as well.

Good for you. the good nuns in Catholic school all stressed that
God helps those that help themselves
Now this may be the most often quoted religuous phrase that is not found in the Bible (usually ascribed to Ben Franklin's Poor Richard's Almanac in 1757 but a variant on Aesop, the Greek The gods help them that help themselves" fron hia fable: Hercules and the Wagoner Keep the Faith charm

Nice to hear from you again and I'm really glad the cancer has stayed away. Sorry about the mental issues though and lets hope this combo of meds does the trick. My 79 yo MIL was initially Dx'ed with early onset dementia and put on a lot of diff meds. She was like a zombie until about a 1 1/2 later another doc determined that she was just having mini seizures and totally changed her meds and now she functions like a "normal" 81 yo.
