I had tonsil cancer with my chemo and radiation treatments ending Jan 08. I just got the results from my PET scan that I have each 6 months, and everything was clear, with no activity. THANK THE GOOD LORD! I had 7 weeks of radiation with one day each week of chemo. My side effects are mostly those shared with you all to include: heavy mucus (mine has a putrid sweet taste), no appetite, trouble swallowing, sore mouth, to name a few. Hopefully, these will go away some day??? I'm going to an oral medicine specialist at the University of Alabama in Birmingham next week to see if there is anything that can be done to help alleviate some of these problems, and will let all know.
