Well, my gall bladder is out and I am sore as heck...Like somebody punched me in the stomach a few times. I could not imagine how hard it would have been if they had to use the scalpel rather then the laser...They just sucked it out from my belly button!
Yesterday, it occurred to me that I'm eating a lot better. I can add pepper and eat slightly spicy foods. My tongue does get tight so stretching exercises does help a lot.
There is a lot of hope out there for those of you just starting this thing...it's hard but doable.
My ONE year anniversary will not be until November 4th, 2009...
Oh...and I did have 1 1/2 glasses of wine on my GF's birthday...it was like I was drinking for the first time! It will not be a weekly or even a monthly routine...just on special days...

No lifting, driving or pulling for 3 to 5 days. It's one day post surgery and I took one pain pill today. Driving was a little rough when the road(s) became bumpy...No, I didn't listen to the doctor...I feel pretty good...Not good enough to go golfing though!...I have 5 very small cuts in my abdomen....Really swollen stomach looks lopsided!...A little weird looking..
Gall bladder surgery--Piece of cake compared to OC!!

Modern technology is just great! I'm sure you're glad it's over. You should be feeling fine and ready to eat anything real soon.
