It came out clear and the doctors said she doesn't need one for another 6 months?!?! I'm nervous because they said they would monitor her closely and 6 months between tests seems too long. I thought they would test her every three months and it's been three months since the first test now, so should we call the doctors and request one?

I was seeing doctors every 6 weeks or so and they continued with their probing and poking. Now, a year out, don't see them but every 3 months. Best of luck to her continued recovery.

Now I feel comfortable with 6 months. Couple more questions. What signs/symptoms should we be looking out for? I have a hard time asking this question but I know recurrence does occur and if it does, we want to know about it right away. Also my mom is back to her normal diet. Eating as much as she did prior to surgery but hasn't really gained any weight. Any ideas/suggestions.

The only thing I would say is just watch everything and if something doesn't feel right get it checked out sooner rather than waiting to see if it resolves itself.
