I don't seek out,read, believe or promote alternative therapy approaches. The Issel page came up while I was searching another issue. What caught my eye was "investigated by Anderson MD." I WAS TOO QUICK to assume it was the Anderson Cancer Center, Tx.
Can we please drop the issue now???

Sandy 56, BOT SCC Biopsy 1/21/09 Stage 3, T3NXM0.
Finished 3 cycle induction chemotherapy 4/7/09. (Chisplatin, 5-fu and Texotere). Re-staged 4/20/09,(very successful.) Will start Carboplatin/radiation 2 Gy/5 days/7 weeks (Tomotherapy) starting May 4th. Finished 6/22/09.

Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | I agree with Sandy. We all make mistakes and as soon as we admit them and say I am sorry for being wrong, the issue should be over and forgotten.
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 507 | I think it is really good every few months to have a discussion about these unsubstantiated treatment protocols and bogus cancer centers. I know I am plagued with worry about recurrence and vunurable. For me, being in the critical first year, seeing several doctors a month and worrying about my next PET/CT scan, knowing about these scams is an asset. Thanks Sandy
