We are going to find out if the Erbitux has helped or not. At this point my mom doesnt believe that it has. The tumor on her jawline feels larger to her and she feels as if there is another one growing on the other side. I have so many emotions right now! My sister and I will be with her when she hears the news, I just dont know if I am ready!!

You sound like very caring daughters. Write down what the Dr says. You both can come here anytime and vent your feelings and get lots of good advice and a shoulder to cry on, when needed. I hope the news is positive tomorrow.

The doctor said they cant see the nodules on the lungs anymore and that her jawline has gone down. They mentioned that they are not sure how much of the swelling on her jawline is cancer and how much of it is actually edema. Either way they are very pleased with the cetuximab and are going to continue weekly infusions. They will most likely do the PET scan in August.
I could not be happier! The weight that was lifted the day of that appointment was extraordinary! Thank you all for your kind words!!
