Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

Joined: May 2008 Posts: 43 | Randy got my pilots licence at Sanford Maine , back in 1997 havent been current since 1999 . Im down in rhode island just finished treatment 4 months ago.
I live in the jungle in costa rica for past 5 years been here in rhode island for a year getting treatment. Got a 3 year old son so flying has been put on back burner. Im feeling pretty good just got my first pet scan and it shows clear on the right side where cancer was but it shows a mild uptake on left mandible and a spot on thyroid. Doctors say nothing to worry about they cant see anything on cat scan. I got a camp up in Denmark Maine and properties in Costa Rica that are being neglected so ive gotta get them straightend out.
I will fly again when my son gets older so we can do it together.
Gonna get me a nice STOL plane. Im sure you have flown in Sanford , best chicken on a bisquit there ever was.
Tonsil into base of tongue 3to4cm tumor. Giant lemon sized 9cm lymphnode. Squamos cell carcinoma
April 5 diagnosed. June 5 started treatment. Cetuximab Carboplatin Paclitaxel once a week for 6 weeks.Then 7 weeks of radiation plus chemo cisplatin then 4 weeks rest then neck disection was Nov 7 2008
