No problem logging in to OCF or staying logged in. Wish I could help!

April 2006: Husband dx by dentist with leukoplakia on tongue. Oral surgeon's biopsy 4/28/06: Moderate dysplasia; pathology report warned of possible "skip effect." ENT's excisional biopsy (got it all) 5/31/06: SCC in situ/small bit superficially invasive. Early detection saves lives.

I use several different computers and don't have any problems. The one time I did have a problem I went to oralcancersupport.com instead of org. You will still see the site and it looks like you can log in but it won't actually let you. When you are at work is the site saved to your favorites?
I am married to a computer genius so feel free to send me a PM. We will figure this out for you, no doubt in my mind. We will be at my mothers for dinner tonight but I will check in when I get home and see how you are doing. You can always call me. 267-261-3405.

I'm pretty certain I used .ORG but will check. USERNAME IS the username that appears in your profile, and not your email address. I am correct on that, aren't I.
I don't think it has anything to do with the computer. I think something happened to my profile last year when the new forum went up and they had us clear cookies. That is when the problem started.
Take care, Eileen

That is probably your problem! My username and screen name are different. Perhaps yours are also. | | | | Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 1,384 Likes: 1 Patient Advocate (1000+ posts) | Patient Advocate (1000+ posts) Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 1,384 Likes: 1 | Elieen, I sent you an e-mail with my phone number. You solved the problem on the new computer. I was using .com instead of .org. Well now hopefully I can become a more active member again. This one needs to be added to frequently asked questions.
Thanks everyone for helping me solve this problem. It is really frustrating for a mainframe programmer to not be able to figure this out. I hate PCs. Now if I could only get this new machine to work like my office machine, I would be happy. Time for some dinner. Thanks everyone for your help.
Take care, Eileen

The forum is now on http://oralcancersupport.org ...... you are taking the long way around. The OCF store is now on www.ocfstore.org which is a highly encrypted system tied to our financial processing partners and which protects your financial privacy. The only thing on www.oralcancerfoundation.org is the main site. Which by the way there is a mirror site to so you can type less, and that is www.oralcancer.org The news database is now on http://oralcancernews.org/wp/2009 which is a custom designed word press site that looks like the rest of OCF. All this makes things run fast, if one thing goes kaput the whole thing does not go down, and it gets spidred on Goggle like crazy. TO THE NON OBSERVANT USER, this all seems seamless, but it is on different machines, some dedicated some not. Please note the universal announcement when all this started, was posted by Chester quite awhile ago. But you really don't notice the url changing as everything looks the same as you navigate around different parts of OCF. Actually quite brilliant.... but that's why we keep Chester busy. http://oralcancersupport.org/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=78743&an=1#Post78743
