Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

He actually started with oropharangeal cancer from smoking, had treatments, was in remission for a few months before they discovered that it was now in his lungs, where with access to his circulatory system it went to his brain. I was privileged enough to speak to his wife years ago about him, she filled in many of the blanks for me when we wrote the story on the site. It might be noted that after his initial treatments his very strong addiction to nicotine had him smoking again....
