The Monkee posting reminded me that Beatle George Harrison also had SCC HEAD AND NECK CANCER which spread to his lungs and killed him at 58. Lots of erroneous reports of brain cancer but here is the link to his official deayh certificate
George Harrison death certificate
you need to scroll down past th false address part, whcih was resolved when LA DA threatened criminal prosecution so they updated it to a house formerly rented by Pual McCartney from Courtney Love

I had read that on the news when he died. Thanks for the reminder Charm.
The full story about his life is in the people section of the OCF site here. He actually started with oropharangeal cancer from smoking, had treatments, was in remission for a few months before they discovered that it was now in his lungs, where with access to his circulatory system it went to his brain. I was privileged enough to speak to his wife years ago about him, she filled in many of the blanks for me when we wrote the story on the site. It might be noted that after his initial treatments his very strong addiction to nicotine had him smoking again.... You can be brilliant, smart, wealthy and more, but addiction to nicotine is a bitch to ditch.

Let me plead GUILTY right now for "not getting around the OCF site more" and focusing on the board. Unlike David, I have no excuse. I am just glad it gave you an opportunity to post that pinpoint citation so that others will click on it and see just a tiny fraction of how much work you have put into OCF,
You are amazing dude
