Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 4,918 Likes: 64 | Through a special agreement with GOOGLE, who has given OCF their mot sophisticated search engine to run inside to OCF site, which is even capable of looking inside embedded PDF documents on OCF, we have been given a new tool which will allow the OCF information and content to help thousands of additional people.... who do not speak English. We have always had some of the site translated into Sapnish but this is too cool.
Go the the home page of the main web site. In the bottom left hand corner is a language converter. Pick a Language....say Japanese. The page is now converted. And not just the home page, but any page that you navigate to once yo have selected that language. OCF's site in Hebrew, or Arabic also looks really curious. But think how many other people around the world we can reach with this new tool.

Next project: brochures in other languages. Perhaps one in multiple languages. Many cosmetics, software, etc. come with inserts in several languages.
Maybe the $$ will fall from the sky but there is a definite need for this in some areas. Perhaps members of the forum could help translate.

Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.

The languages will help so many people, it was a great idea.

Malka and Christine, Thank you for mentioning the rules thing. Sheesh! I thought I'd done something wrong and was getting reminded. LOL
DX 6/05 Rt Tonsil SSC advanced to lymph node. Stage 4b. RND, took tonsils, strips off the back of tongue, throat and nose. 19 lymph nodes removed only 1 bad. Once healed, 7 weeks of treatment including 35 IMRT, 7 Cisplatin, 7 Erbitux and 35 nasty Amophostine. Almost 11 yrs out now. Woooo Hoooo!

FOLLOWUP: Now only annual exams. ALL CLEAR!
