Here is someone with the heart to really put themselves out there. No money, no sponsors, never ridden more than a few blocks on a bike before, and a grass roots effort to get publicity. She needs places to stay enroute, help getting publicity when she gets into your town, and more. The people here could really help her make this journey, and make PR in you own towns happen for her. She is riding the old Route 66 path across country. If you live on it or have connections to people on that route, I encourage you to help her out. http://route2outsmartcancer.com

Hey, Brian.....I would adore being part of this project, exc. that I am not on the riding route. If she wants to dip down into Louisiana, I will throw open my doors and cook up some gumbo and crawfish etoufee' and call the newspapers! I just wanted you to know that we aren't ignoring this project.

Michelle has reached the edge of New Mexico, and in a few days will be in Albuquerque, continuing on 66 west from there. Do we have any people in NM or AZ that could help with a place to stay for a night? It is getting really cold in that part of the country and she is capmping much of the time. A break in a warm house would be a wonderful thing about now. Please check her web site for updates as to her progress, more pictures and stories of the people she has met enroute are going to be psoted tomorrow.

I am in Lake Havasu, about 60 miles south of Kingman, Az. Depending on her route, she could get close to me. The junction of I-40 and Az 95 is about 20 miles north of me. If that is her route, depending on the date, I have a spare bed. I will also try to get the local paper to do a story. Linda

Here is a list of cities that she will be passing thorugh. Even if you are close to them you could perhaps be involved in getting her a local paper interview in an adjacent town.
NM -Newkirk, Santa Rosa, Colonias, San Ignacio, Milagro, Moriarty, Albuqerque, Mesita, Laguna, New Laguna, Villa de Cubero, San Fidal, McCarty
