Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.

Went to see the movie Australia last week even though it got a bad write-up here in the states. I guess I just missed your land of OZ, despite the reviews and I really enjoyed the movie.

Retired Dentist, 59 years old at diagnosis. SCC of the left lateral border of the tongue (Stage I). Partial glossectomy and 30 nodes removed, 4/6/05. Nodes all clear. No chemo no radiation 18 year survivor.

I saw the film and really enjoyed it (didn't think I would as it's long and not quite my style of movie!). It was great to have lots of Aboriginal elements and issues, as they were treated so badly for a long time. And Baz Luhrmann is such a kitchy type of director :-)!
