m left hand thumb and 3 fingers are numb-asleep all then time the pinkey is fine and my right hand is fine.
The bottom of my right foot up by the toes is numb also
I am 2 months past radiation and 3 weeks past neck disection.
I had read the cisplatin during rads could cause this.
So they gave me some nuerontin wondering anyone else take this stuff.

cisplatin is known to cause a lot of problems at times ... the list is long that I read. I am sorry you are having this problem and I hope it is temporary for you.

have not heard of the medication they gave you for it, hopefully someone here has heard of it or used it... but I wanted to stop by and let you know I was wishing you well and hoping for a full recovery. Treatment is bad enough - after effects should not be allowed smile

i hope you are right handed, since you mentioned this is effecting only the left side.

hang in there and keep us posted on how it goes for you.

Neurontin 300 mg was prescribed for my husband this week due to neuropathy from Cisplatin. His feet are affected more than fingers, limiting his ability to walk far. Another adjustment as we always walked and hiked for exercise and recreation.

He was advised to start with one capsules at night and increase gradually to 3X/day. Also, to make sure he is getting B12 & folate (still on feedings so OK there). Lottie
