Gee -David and I both going to a CCC and NOT getting a baseline TSH- makes you wonder. Luckily I did get a very complete baseline hearing test sitting in the sound proof booth with pure tone tests. It was funny watching the examiner hide her lips while saying words against a noisy background so that I could not cheat on the speech recognition part. But that had nothing to do with my CCC, instead it was just a throw-away by my penultimate ENT who just could not diagnose the cause of my ear pain.
But there appear to far less (if any at all) hearing issues associated with Erbitux, unlike the platinum-based poisons (oops, I mean chemotherapy)

In both cases, it really doesn't matter what they were except to satisfy curiosity -- What matters is what they are NOW and how they will be dealt with.

Kinda like a guy missing an arm -- Doesn't really matter what the old one was like, what matters is the new one.

Beg to differ with you an at least the hearing test pre Tx because since there was no baseline I can't prove that the Cisplatin or Tx fro that matter caused my hearing loss and therefore my insurance says it won't consider hearing aids even if I wanted them.

OK, that would be a good reason -- Hearing aids are expensive... Consider discussing that with primary cancer Doc (If you haven't already) -- Won't help you but might help the next victims!
