Before my Dad passed away, someone GAVE us a brand new INVACARE wheelchair so I would be able to take him back and forth for his treatments. The Cancer center was always so busy that they would be out of their own wheelchairs by the time we would get there . . . My Dad only used it three times . . .

This is not a transport (weighs about 44 lbs) but folds up and will hold up to 250lbs. Here is a link to a pic of it . . .

I would love to pass this on to someone on this board who is in need. My Dad would have wanted it this way . . .

I live in Bucks County, PA if anyone is from the area . . . I would gladly meet anyone north or south within an hour or so . . .

Mandibular ressection, flap replacement and bilateral neck dissection 10/25/07. Two nodes cancerous, others clear.
Started IRMT 12/17/07 (34) and ERBITUX ( 6). 7/17/08 cancer returned neck and shoulder area. Passed on peacefully surrounded by love on 9/15/08. And yes, he did see angels. . .

THat is so thoughtful of you. I hope someone gets it from you that really needs one. I'm sure your Dad is proud of you and smiling when he looks down from heaven.


Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

I have found a home for the wheelchair so all is good.
