Hi folks this is not cancer related news but for me it was music to my ears...in a place where family doctors are almost impossible to get...I GOT ONE!! Now at least I can be checked a little more regularly and he can keep an extra eye on my mouth and incisions. The angels were with me today when I got determined to phone around. The office I called apparently was taking new patients but had put a hold on taking new ones for a bit...I told the secretary my story and we got a call back later in the afternoon stating that the doctor consented to taking my husband and I. More prayers have been answered on this one...I had to have made about 30 phone calls and by the time I made this one I didn't even think she could understand me my tongue had gotten so swollen. Well anyway like I said not cancer news but it is great news for us...

Hey Diane,

Glad to hear it!! we had no PCP either when we started this and they are so necessary. We were lucky and our RO referred us to a phys that we really like. She's been a great resource for those not so related cancer tx problems and is very good about communicating with our oncologists on everything. Plus our co-pay to see her is much less then to see our oncologists. Another good benefit. Gratz Diane. I know how good winning these small battles feel in the midst of all this.
