OraMoist is billed as a small dime sized disc that adheres to the roof of the mouth & thru its time-released formula slowly disolves to help produce saliva & lubrication in the mouth. It is non-prescription. Has anyone tried this product? If so, do you give it thumbs up or down? Pls lmk. Thanx.

I have never heard of this OraMoist. I would love to hear more about it. I am sure there are a few others here that would also.
I have not heard of it on the board, but I could have missed it. I hope some one will respond soon. Maybe Brian Or Gary will chime in, maybe they know something.
Thanks for the information and Welcome to OCF. Take care Diane

For me, kinda funky having something stuck to the roof of my mouth. Felt like my puppy eating peanut better (probably looked like him too). It did however release a gel like coating that gave the sensation of having more saliva.
I can honestly say that I much prefer the Biotene gel over the Oramoist.

They didn't have it but said they would order it and I could pick it up the next day. Just went back today ($8.99)and I just "glued" one inside my mouth to my hard palate as instructed. I've had it in for about an hour and my initial thoughts are:
1. It's hard to open each package. You must carefully use scissors. Can't tear it. 2. I don't like the feeling of it stuck to my hard palate. 3. Produces to much saliva for me as my dry mouth is not really that bad. Even with this new found saliva I still have to lick my lips as all I do is swallow all the time. 5. Not cheap as each one costs $.56 and is supposed to last 2-4 hours.
So far for me....I'll stick to my Biotene gum. Might be a better deal for someone whose DM is worse than mine and the gum isn't enough.

Saw it in a Walgreens about a Month ago. thought it was worth the investment to try overnight. Used one night and then didn't even attempt one during the day. Sorry but it didn't work out too well. Like many others here, I'll stick with my Biotene products.....
