I got a message that they don't want to do a full hormone panel and that I should ask my primary care physician as it's not related to the tumor.

Is it a big deal for them to request those tests

How do they know it's not related to your cancer or it's Tx unless the do the blood work?

The PA actually referred me to an endocrinologist so hopefully they'll do the other tests.

The RO never tested TSH before Rad. So I don't know what it was before Tx.

I did not get the new results yet.

Here are some results after Tx:
About a year ago:
Total T4 7.2
TSH 0.53
Total Testosterone 146

All of these appear just a bit above the low normal.

I have no idea but one of the docs said that Thyroid testing only and basic blood work are
national standards for cancer follow up in patients with no active
disease.
Pete,
the short term variability 0-88.5 seems strange. There is the possibility that the lab screws up the TSH assay, Although it is not likely that they are continually doing it.
The 0.01 was in Nov06, so the doc decided to have me just stop taking the meds for a while; in Dec06, it was 0.00, but in Jan07 had gone to 88.5. He then put me on Levoxyl .050, and in Feb07 it was 47.9. Changed to .075 and in Mar07, it was 14.6. Changed to .100 and in Apr07 it was 0.66. With no med change, in May07 it was 0.12.
