Aside from old age, I find that after playing golf, mowing the lawn, or doing other exercises, I tend to have more muscle aching than I did prior to treatment. I know that some is due to the nerves in the neck/shoulders after the ND, and some is due to the fibrosis, but just curious if anyone else had noticed a similar phenomenon? Other than the fact that I got out of shape during treatment and had to regain some muscle as I healed, I can't say I have noticed other muscle aches.
Here's another "not a big deal" one that was brought home to me on a recent hike. Ever since chemo, I have noticed that my sense of balance is not quite what it was. It's not that I'm unsteady on my feet in normal circumstances but, for example, am much less steady when hiking up or down a steep rocky trail where sure-footedness is necessary. Even going down steep or slippery stairs--I'm a bit slower and shakier and if I loose my balance, less able to recover it. Cold be just age I suppose but I'm guessing it is somehow related to the cisplatin.

I can play golf and such, but every now and again I will find myself taking a misstep and the foot/ankle kind of go 90 degrees sideways. Maybe old age, but I prefer to blame Cisplatin. I do suffer from being a little off balance. I was never the most co-ordinated person, now Im just plain clumsy. I also thought it was me getting older.
Do you ever get a little dizzy? That happens to me almost daily sometimes a couple times a day.

I think it's because I try to get him off his butt to walk with me once in awhile. He has never been a regular exerciser and he won't go everyday so I'm hoping that it's for that reason he is sore afterwards. It could also have to do with the fact that he gets all his nutrition thru the PEG. That has to wear down your muscle mass even though he has gained back a few pounds.

I also get dizzy or dizzier when I twirl around and around playing with my dog. I mean I'm dizzy now when I twirl around even once fast.

He has a rough time bending over and then coming up without getting dizzy..has to stop a minute and get his bearings. Never had it before treatment and his BP was somewhat low then.
Looks like someone needs to do a study of this... apparently affects a lot of folks and might be related to OC treatment. Hmmm???

You mentioned low blood pressure. How low is it? Has Bill lost alot of weight and kept it off? Anybody else have that too?
My blood pressure had been running terribly low like about 74 over 56 for several weeks. Since I started HBO its now up into to a more normal range about 100 over 70. You are right its odd with so many OC patient stating there are residual side effects of aches, dizziness and maybe low blood pressure.
