Do you think tht the machine overheated because it was overwhelmed by all you have been through??
SCC stage II Partial mandibulectomy w. neck dissection- July 2005. Renal cancer w. partial nephrectomy-Jan 2004. Breast cancer discovered in routine mammogram. Successful lumpectomy, sentinal nodes clear, RT only-2008 Reconstruction of mandible w fibula free flap-Jan 09. TORS removal of begnin pappiloma from esophagus-2010. Masectomy,rt breast 2013.

Sorry to hear of the new possible problem and the postponement of PET scan. Waiting is awful. I just had my 1st post treatment scan today, I'll find out results next week. Hope we both get good results. Hang in there!

Today I painted the back blocks on my outside basement wall, then washed clothes and fixed some liquid dinner. After that I cleaned my van and then went for a shake at DQ. Have a great day all.
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | Finally got the PetScan today. Actually it is the easiest Scan there is to me. This is my 4th one at least. The hardest part is to sit for 45 minutes while the dye goes thru your system. The time in the tunnel is only about 20 minutes or so. I will post whenever my Dr calls me with the results.
