We are still "currently in treatment" and consider ourselves survivors. The information, wise counsel and friends I have made since joining OCF have been invaluable to both of us.I just want to say thank you to everyone. Amy

It's been a pleasure to get to virtually know you. I think about you and John often and whenever I do I send my best wishes out into the universe for an easy time for him through the rest of his treatment and full, healthy recovery (and some R&R time for you!).

Congratulations on 441 days to both John and you.
BTW, my diagnosis was one week after John's on March 22, 2005.

Retired Dentist, 59 years old at diagnosis. SCC of the left lateral border of the tongue (Stage I). Partial glossectomy and 30 nodes removed, 4/6/05. Nodes all clear. No chemo no radiation 18 year survivor.

I just read your "Caregiver's Journal" While I feel sadness and sorrow that you and John are having to go through this, I am grateful for your time, effort, and willingness to share your experience on this site. We are going through some tough times ourselves. I am feeling extremely overwhelmed and often question not only my "nursing and mother-hen abilities" but also my sanity. Reading your story not only gives me solice in knowing I'm not alone but is evidence that I'm coping as "normal" as anyone can expect in such cirmcumstances.
