Thanks to all of you who were so encouraging to my husband Pete. Pete died in the hospital on June 18, from double pneumonia and severe breathing difficulties due to complications of the radiation treatments. He tried VERY hard to get well and dotted every "i" and crossed every "t" He had world class doctors and a very caring and competent team of professionals working with him along the way, but it was just not to be. He gained many valuable insights from this forum, and was able to reduce a great deal of stress along the way from hearing from all of you and reading the posts. To those of you still waging the war, remain strong-Pete would want the best for all of you.

Mrs. Pete -- terribly, terribly sorry for your loss. I loved to read Pete's posts, as he was diagnosed around the time I was diagnosed, and I was amazed at how strong he was approaching the second bout of radiation. He will be missed.

Mrs.Pete60, My heart goes out to you and your family. I also lost my husband in Feb. 2008. I am relatively new to this board and I agree that it has as well given me many valuable insights and being able to talk to someone else who has been there sure has given me comfort. God Bless, Angel
