The Sabbath starts in a few min so we wont know anything until tomorrow. My son is home with the 4 yr old boy and 12 yr old girl. His wife and her mother will be in the hospital. It is about an hour from their home, a little further for us. We will go to his place so our son can walk to see them tomorrow afternoon. Life here has been crazy for the past month. In the middle of getting ready for Passover, I had a problem mammogram and now will begin radiation for breast cancer(DCIS) Thursday. Thank G-d it was caught early - stage 0 - the lymph npodes were clear and it seems that all was removed. The few weeks of radiation are SOP for this. In addition, we have been preparing for a dinner for my grandaughter's Bat Mitzvah this Sunday PM. Everything has been purchased except the ice, the food will be delivered Sun and we just have to set up. It is not a large group - abouth 60 women and girls., so my graqndughter I can do it and if her other bubby and her mother cant be there we will just take a little more time.

You have been through so much already and have the attitude of a true survivor. Enjoy the Bat Mitzvah. My experience with breast cancer radiation was it was a piece of cake after battling through the oral cancer treatment. The only symptom I had from it was fatigue but even that did not hit right away. I'm so glad the breast cancer was caught early.

I walked over and brought the other 2 here for the day and they are now at Walmart with my huband buying get well gifts for their brother. Neli, It does seem like the bc treatment will indeed be very mild, particularly compared to that for OC. I start radiation Thursday and the RO told me that I should not have any major problems. She also told me that I have been very fortunate to have been treated by all the best doctors here for the various problems I have had and, as I well know, everything has been caught very early. So sorry to hear about the breast cancer. Thankfully, it was caught so early. I hope the radiation does prove easy for you.
I hope your grandson is feeling OK after his appendectomy.
Mazel Tov on your grandaughter's Bat Mitzvah and I hope that the dinner went well.
