I have had 4 surgeries in last year and half- all with postive SCC in situ. Most cancer was found in a non inverted papilloma. I had my septum removed last year and half a turbinate on this surgery in April. Please share if you have had anything similar. Thanks! In my surgery, I also had a turbinate removed. Now I have to wear an obturator to close the opening in my hard palate. Is any of this similar to your situation? Have you had all of your surgery through the nostrils, or have you had to have part of your hard palate removed to get to the areas affected by the SCC?
PS--I know Gulf Breeze quite well...many happy family memories from summer trips to the area.

It may help all responders and you as well if you edit your Signature line to include basic facts of your cancer and Tx so far. See mine and Colleen's as an example.
My cancer was BOT and 2 nodes and I didn't have any surgery so at this point I can't help you. I hope that there are others that can but I don't remember any posters that have had a similar Dx.

My nose looks fine on outside and was not painful the first 3 surgerys but last one caused sore throat and ear ache. My throat is still sore after 3 weeks. I have been to MD Anderson twice for consults- had surgerys here with good ENT. Looks like radiation may be plan to nasal cavity this summer. I know no one who has had anything like this and would like to find someone. Glad to hear you are 2 years out. Will work on my signiture line.
