I'd been feeling pressure in my right nostril and aching in my left ear so my Oncologist ordered an MRI of the neck and brain. This week I'm told the MRI found inflammation beyond the roof of my mouth. After examing the area, my H/N doctor assured me it is not an infection and is pretty sure it is benign, but to be sure he needs me to see the Head of H/N surgery and it "may" or "may" not need to be biopsied.
To say least, I'm worried and not to excited about waiting to see the doctor. I really want to know what's going on. I laugh that they call us patients because I don't have much right now.

I juat went thru the same thing below my right ear a couple of days ago and am awaiting the biopsy report. The biopsy wans't the greatest thing to hurt I have had and it was well worth it. If it's negative I'm finished with surgery for a long time and if it's positive, I have to have the right side done like the left was in August.. I hope yours go well too Donna.

I'm sure the anxiousness and waiting are very tough, but I would want a biopsy too and I think the anxiety of thinking what if would drive e a little bonkers if they didn't biopsy.

Take care, Minnie

I had the biopsy done and the results are negative. So relieved so happy. It was cooler to hear how happy my Head and Neck surgeon was. They want me to continue with appointments and keep a close eye on me.
I've had some left ear, neck and left breast pain for the past two months. My cancer was Oropharneyl (hmm...might have got that wrong). I'm seeing my Primary care doctor because I want him to review what I found on the National Cancer sight regarding these symptons...I've also been very tired. My mammograms and ultrasounds have come back negative, so that's good news. I just want to make sure that we tidy up the last few symptons before we call it done.
Thank you all for your support, well wishes and good advice. It payed off very well.
Love and Peace everyday. donna
