It seems that my post TX problems continue find me and now it's full-blown Trismus. This essentially stems from the extraction of a wisdom tooth some 16 months post TX back in November of last year. This led to a round of ORN even with a total of 30 dives of HBO treatment. The ORN then led to oral surgery which has now led to Trismus to where I can only open my mouth 11mm per last week's checkup. My Oral Surgeon who I'm having to see now every 3 weeks first prescribed a series of twice daily jaw mobility exercises for me to do but after doing them I would be so sore for 3 or 4 days that I couldn't do them and I was getting nowhere. He is now having me fitted with a device manufactured by Dynasplit Systems and I am curious to know if anyone else has had experience with this device and it's degree of success? I got a call last Friday from an area Dynasplit rep. who will be coming to my house to "fit me" for the device and of course he told me about how great it was. I would like to hear someone talk about it from another angle. I certainly hope it works better than the self-help jaw mobility sessions which were torture.
