Also, he is sick of the taste of Ensure, Boost, etc. His MO at Hopkins told him that some of her patients like Scandishakes which are 600 calories once 8 ounces of whole milk are mixed with them. We couldn't find them in the stores we checked but ordered them online from AXCAN SCANDIPHARM INC (best price I found with a brief web search) and they are really, really delicious! He drank it right down and wants another one. I ordered late Monday and they were here today. I even tasted his (we ordered chocolate but they come in vanilla and strawberry as well). I don't recall reading about them here and thought others might want to know. They are more expensive than Boost, etc. but one a day will really help with the weight.

Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.
