Hello All,
In response to the top 5 coping mechanisms, as a 2 time tongue cancer survivor, the second round being last summer, here goes:
1. If you believe in God, PRAY! a lot. It helped me so much and still does.
2. Ask for help, don't be shy about it and do not isolate too much.
3. Share feelings. If you cannot speak, write thoughts and feelings in a journal.
4. Take some form(s) of enjoyment each and every day and find some gratitude somewhere.
5. Stay in the day and do not project. No one knows what is ahead.Good luck to everyone!
Gerry
