Yet I had a history of high cholesterol despite a previous diet of egg whites, no butter, no red meat, and little cheese. They said don't worry about it--eat what you want, but my cholesterol must be sky high after my high-fat diet. I won't be tested again until June. That will be interesting.

Since Buzz has been sick, I add EXTRA butter, heavy cream, sauces & gravies, lots of baked breads, rich desserts, etc....I have gained about 20 pounds, and he is still struggling to maintain 160! ..Go figure!

One from the food we eat and one from our bodies' production so you can totally avoid dietary cholestrol and still have a high cholestrol count. There are many other factors to consider when the decision is made re lowering your cholestrol and even there doctors will disagree on the approach or even if one is needed as I soon found out after initially being told I had high cholestrol.

My RO said they were probably just from radiation effects. I had a PET scan done and it confirmed that the spots were just scar tissue brought on from the radiation. I recently had a follow-up CT scan and the spots are now almost completely gone. Hopefully the spots that you have are just from radiation effects too.
Nine years out. New normal with limitations, but surviving and living life to the fullest.
