I hope so too ....That is why I didnt do rad ..That and the fact I as scared to death of it ..I was so torn .. But I think Kowing I could only do it once was the deciding factor for me . My Nodes were clear and It wasnt going to lessen my chances of it coming back by enough for me to do it . I decided to save it in case in came back ..kinda like my ace in the hole ..

I had that choice...Not an easy one..I still question it daily and at times daily I am thankful I made the decision I did , so If I am faced with it again I dont have to go through the what if's.

My heat goes out to you ..I can't even imagine what you are truley going through ..I dont think I have ever recovered from hearing the words the 1st time. You would think we would be able to handle it the 2nd time as we know what to expect , but I think they would sting more then the 1st.

I do know that I think and speak of you daily and everyone I speak to sends their thoughts and prayers to you . I can only hope and pray with you that it is contained. Surgery can work wonders we have to remember that alot of us can atest to that .I am still here and healthy 9 months later and that isnt very long and sure as H*%*# ISNT Long enough for me ...but I am here and cancer free right now ..

I do believe that only the strongest people get cancer...even though we ourselves don't see it , but I have said before I have never met a stronger or more humble group of people, a group a people that I am more then honored to call my friends, My extended family . My heart is with you Carol and please know I am thinking and praying for you all the way !!

Thanks for writing SHar and Colleen.....I kind of feel like I am in a bad nightmare.....first my husband said he was leaving me 10/13, then the diagnosis of cancer again 11/10....my husband and I are working on our relationship, in fact, we did have a very nice night away Friday......I am hoping the scans show the cancer is only in the one area and I can have the surgery and get out of there! I wish the surgery was Monday.....Thanks again for writing, Love, Carol

Carol - I'm so glad things are going a little better. Sometimes it takes a major life change before people can realize how important they are to each other. But whatever the future brings, take comfort in the present and the peaceful moments it brings. You deserve it!

Carol,
No....not now. You need all the energy on you getting well. You don't deserve this. Baby, call me. I live in Bowie. We can get together, ok?
Yeah, things are hard here, but there is only room for those who understand, and I know you do.
Love,
Mandi

Carol

I too have marital problems ..basically I SHOULDNT BE MARRIED !! But everyone , including my therapist has said that now isn't the time to make life changing decisions. However he dosent know everything going on here either or I am sure he would change his mind.

I do agree your health comes first though . I am soo soo not an expert on RELATIONSHIPS ..Lord knows look at mine !! But I do believe that this disease ( or any , or even any crisis) Will make or break a relationship ! You would think it would bring out the comapssion in people ..but I have seen it bring out the worst..as if it was happening to them and ThEY couldnt face it ( and I know in a way it is ) ,I dont know ..just a few of my thoughts without me going off on one of my tangents that I do !

Dear Carol....geez, I am sorry to hear that you have other problems to deal with than "just" cancer! I guess life doesn't stop to let us deal with this stuff, does it. It just keeps on going.

I am anxious to hear the results of your scan. When will you hear?

The holidays are a bad time to get sick and to try to get answers. Hang in there. Come here often, and we will try to help you pass the time.

XO--Colleen

Hi All, thanks for writing to me....first and foremost,I am working on my health issues.....I had a dental appt today, my dentist is 3 floors up from my oral surgeon, so I stopped in my oral surgeon's office to find out if the scans were back but the secretaries really didn't know a whole lot, everybody was getting ready for the holiday, etc.......I am HOPING they do not call me about the scan, that hopefully will mean all systems go for the surgery 12/14........Thanks again, Carol
