Have not been posting lately, Dan lost his job after 15 years, new management, they got rid of all managers. Well needless to say he had a hard time finding a job, he thinks people discriminate when they look at him, which I am sure they do. He finally found a job, but it has stinky insurance, which is not good......I keep telling myself that we are the lucky ones right now. He is alive and doing well (knock on wood)
I think about you all the time Danny, I hope you are feeling strong. I just wanted to say hi and let your know we are thinking of you always.

Mucoepidermoid carcinoma-intermediate grade. Removed 3/05. Additional surgery to get clean margins and selective neck dissection 4/05. 30 lymph nodes removed. All clear!!

Mom's caregvr. DDS failed to dx 01/03. Dx Stg IV SCC 05/03. Induct. chemo, IMRT, 5FU, H, Iressa, Neck disect, radiation. Dad's caregvr. Dx 01/04 Ext. Stg SCLC. Mets to liver/bone 08/04. Died 11/12/04. Mom tongue CA dx 06/13, hemiglossectomy (80% removed) 08/13. Clean margins and nodes, but PNI. 6/15/15: Tongue CA at base of remnant tongue. Declined further tx; hospice.
Died 10/13/15. What a long and difficult journey.

Thanks for the update. You have been so helpfull, just keep on pushing and hope this chemo is the right one.
SCC R-Tonsil T2 NO MO Dec 2003. Completed IMRT Radiation only to tonsils(72Gy) and neck(55Gy)March 04. Detected at age 50.
