Hi there, I have a question I've not seen covered elsewhere.

I had about half my tongue replaced with a flap of muscle from my abdomen. I'm quite skinny in build, and it's left me looking and feeling a bit 'lop-sided'.

Now that I've had my peg tube removed, I'm wondering are there specific exercises I can do to help build up the lost muscle on one side?

Also wondering if over time it will build up 'naturally', or if I'll be permanently lop-sided!

thanks for any info

My husband was replaced from his arm, he has issues eating and swallowing. He has had the part that comes out of his throat forward removed, just trying to find someone that has had that much of his tongue removed and eating.

Hi I had most of my tongue removed and I'm eating well now. Sometimes the remaining tongue can get in the way. Also I had parts of my throat removed. I'm also stubborn and love food! This is very difficult. I feel for your husband. Its a tough recovery.
