I am about 7 weeks out of treatment, and had a MO checkup 10 days ago. He saw a little bit of thrush (which I couldn't tell I had), and prescribed Nystatin, which he said to take for a few days. I took it for 2 days like he said, and a few days later I started to get nauseous, almost all the time, and have not been eating well. I went back to see him 3 days ago, and he said to finish the medicine. Nausea has not really subsided, I am scheduled to get my PEG tube removed this Friday, and am losing some weight. Just wondering if this is a side effect of nystatin and I should stop! Thanks. | | |

I checked Medline Plus and Nausea is not listed int he side affects for Nystatin. This doesn't mean it can't be one. The link is below. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/medmaster/a682758.html I would get your blood pressure checked and get some blood work done if it were me just to rule out other causes. Tell you doctors. I hope this helps. Cheers, Mike
