The biopsy was quite difficult(he took 7 samples)and lengthy. I ended up losing my voice and had very painful swallowing for almost a week after. The doctor said my neck was so full of scar tissue from radiation that the needle didn't want to go in. My question is this---should I be massaging my neck to break up scar tissue?? I do neck and jaw exercises, and use plenty of lotion. I guess I was afraid to massage my neck (thinking it would hurt it somehow) and the doctors didn't mention it.

My neck is really hard and stiff but I'm very used to it now. I still massage it but not as often as before.
