You have a lot going on, and that's plenty of reason for your throat to be angry at you, but the lesion has me a little concerned. You asked for ideas, so here's mine: Call the ENT tomorrow and get an appointment for this week sometime. In the meantime, keep a good eye on that lesion, to see if it changes, for the better or the worse, so that you can report to the ENT. Keep us posted!

He is awesome, respectful, intelligent, funny and hopeful.
He is NOT a H&N specialist, but has had a dozen or so cases, and knows his stuff pretty well. He is also quick to admit when something is beyond his expertise.
Anyway, since it is such a small town, I was literally able to see him with 30 minutes notice TODAY!!
He looked at my lesion and surrouding tissue and is Not alarmed, he says it looks like maybe it's from the thrush and not to worry.
I'm going to see him again in a few days for another look and as luck would have it, I am having my 3 months follow-up in just 2 weeks at UCSF so I'll have it examined more then too, maybe I'll ask for a laraygoscope (?)too...
Thanks for the helpful feedback!!!
