Hello Brian,

I agreed with your last posting but have an issue on not stating your efforts. You alone have had an impact on so many people it's hard not to put you on a pedastal. I have never met a man who has given so much to help so many. It has been an honer to meet you and Ingrid. I have shared your story with many people. You and all the members of this forum are like family to me.
My only regret is that I can't do more to help in the money department to ease some of your burden.

Love Ya, Danny Boy

Amen to that Danny. Now Brian do you ever need things written and mailed to different organizations? I can do that. laugh

I will make sure to pass along your message to the dental assistants being trained at several Remington Colleges. Thanks for what you are accomplishing. Bradley Moore, Director of Health Science Remington Colleges

Brian,

I am embarrassed that my national organization, The American Dental Association, has been so negligent about something that should be right up there as a number one priority. I know that a couple of years ago, they made somewhat of an effort with their "Early Detection" campaign that involved one of our own members, Eva Grayzel doing 2 videos for them. They sure dropped the ball after that, didn't they?

As you know, I have been in contact with them two times to try to get them to use me and my story to help get them moving in the right direction. They appeared interested, but I have yet to have them get back to me again. With the annual ADA meeting being held right here in Philadelphia this year, this would be a very opportune time for them to somehow work me in to their meeting.

I don't plan on giving up and I will be contacting them again, this week. I can be a pest when it comes to something as important as this.

Here in PA, we do have a CE requirement in order to renew our liscense. Interestingly, my local society's monthly meeting speaker, this past January, made a prrsentation on oral cancer screening. This was less than 2 months prior to my discovering my SCC.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help the cause, especially when it comes to the ADA.

Wow! you've been amazingly busy for everyone and all the while struggling with your own health matters. Can you delegate some of this work? What can I do to either lighten your load or help expand your mission?

Not only the american dental association, but other ENT physicians as well. My husband lost a year of treatment as he was diagnosed with a neck infection by an ENT which of course turned out to be SCC base of tongue cancer. Brian, I applaud your tireless work and effort on behalf of those people seeking support and guidance, this website alone has been a godsend.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Sincerely,
Virginia Beck
