Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 51 | I have very little complaints at 6 wks post 30x IMRT. One thing that is happening is usually after i eat i get small water blisters popping up all over. roof of mouth, by throat, under bottom of lip, etc. they don't hurt unless near throat. they then often just go away. Any thoughts?
SCC on left side of tongue 12/01 left partial glossectomy, left neck disection (clean), recurrence 3/06 on back left of tongue, 2nd partial glossectomy, no nodal inolvement, IMRT completed 6/30/06

Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 3,552 | I had blisters on the sides of my tongue that took months to heal. It sounds like maybe you are having a reaction to whatever food you are eating.

Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 126 | My spouse had whitish blisters popping out on her tongue for several months after end of radiation treatments. They finaly went away.
CG to wife;
Jan 2005 DX SCC Tongue T2N1MO; RND surgery Mar 2005; 35 XRT and 4 cisplatin completed Jul 2005.
Dec 2006 tongue surgery, Scar tissue no cancer.
Feb 2010 neck node FNA - negative.
2010 ORN right jaw plus fracture
2015 ORN left jaw plus fracture
Feb 2016 Lower jaw reconstruction by Fibula free flap+titanium plate - Permanent G-tube
June 2016 Difficulty breathing - Permanent Trachea tube
Dec 2019 DX Cervical cancer - Stage 1 - Surgery Jan 16 2020.
15-20 esophagus/larynx dilations

Joined: May 2006 Posts: 137 | I've had the same little blisters, Warren. Mostly on the roof of my mouth. They seem to be decreasing the further out I get from radiation.

dx 2/13/06. modified radical neck dissection 3/9/06 multiple biopsies of upper airway and direct laryngoscopy. 1 of 47 lymph nodes positive for metastatic undifferentiated carcinoma (lymphoepithelioma). Unknown primary. Finished radiation 5/24/06.
