Tizz,

I am just out 3 weeks from a bilateral neck dissection and the front of my neck is rock hard and my lower cheeks are swollen as well. The doc says it's lymphedema and in another week I can start Lymphatic massage to help the fluid find new drainage pathways. From all I've heard, lymphatic massage is the only way to help this process go faster. I''ve talked to one clinic and they supposedly will do the treatments as well as train me to perform this massage myself.
Thanks to Sammie for the links to the other posts about lymphedema. Finding info about lymphedema of the neck and face is difficult. Maybe we should ask some of the lymphedema resources to expand their info. Anyone know if flying causes any problems with lymphedema?
