I am caregiver to my husband who has had his neck dissection with partial glossectomy left side with free flap on Feb 7. He starts radiation next week. We were so hoping that he could have IMRT, but the decision has been made to go with traditional because of the number of lymph nodes that were involved. Did any of you insist on the IMRT, or is this strictly left up to the RO?
Caregiver to husband David, non smoker. Dx 1/06 SCC Base of Tongue Stage IV, neck nodes involved. Surgery/Chemo/Rad. Treatment finished 5/06. Waiting. Recurrence in lung, Aug07. 6 months Cisplatin/Erbitux. Spots shrinking after 3 Cisplatin tx.
