Forgive me for sounding ignorant, but I am confused...?

Did you get an "all clear" from the biopsy the first time?

What kind of cancer were you told? Where? What stage?

I dont know why it would mater, but this is the info that I have from my 1st oral cancer experince.. squamous cell carcinoma, tumor extends into underlying muscle.. mar 17 2003 procedure performed left anterior partial glossectomy with primary reconstruction.I did not have radiation/chemo.. I was followed up every other week for 6 month, then to everyother month for the rest of 2003 and in 2004, after my one year mark, was seen every 3months until jun of 05 was supposed to have bio 1st week of jul, but there was an earthquake, now waiting until this thurs for bio.. it could be somthing else. and I do hope that my plastic surygen and theripst are incorrect, both have made me swear not to leave the ent clinic until a bio is performed..does this help you.. as to what stage, I never asked.. I didnt think that it would matter. I would either make it or not..

Sorry, I didn't realize it wa a possible or suspected recurrance.

I couldn't understand how the two years had past without a bio.

It doesn't matter in the sense of your question dealt with a different topic, I was only curious and selfishly wanted to know your circumstances.

I'll be praying for you that the biopsy is negative.

As far as moving, remember that it can very stressful by itself, and there is a definitive link between stress and cancer.

You should be able to just get your medical records and take them to the new doctor. They may want to do additional procedures after reviewing what you have already had done.
It may be an issue with insurance though.

Mucoepidermoid carcinoma-intermediate grade. Removed 3/05. Additional surgery to get clean margins and selective neck dissection 4/05. 30 lymph nodes removed. All clear!!

If you're going to Texas I would go the MD Anderson if at all possible. They are the highest rated CCC in the US. Are you at a CCC now?

You are in my prayers sassy. I am so glad you are going to be near your children. Its hard to go through this when you are alone isn't it?
Bless you dear and good luck to you.
May God give your hope,
Barbara~
