I just got my test results; TSH 6.5 -Synthroid increased to 150Mcg. recheck in 2 months. Yes I am somewhat cranky about this....

Ed, the symptoms of Hyperthyroid are mostly opposites of Hypothyroid. Body temp high, rapid pulse, heart rhythm problems, sleep problems, hyperactivity among many others. Overdosing of replacement thyroid hormones can cause serious heart rhythm problems and even be fatal. As Eileen has said under treating can also be serious.

PS. Eileen, I find it hard to believe you ever had a weight gain problem. wink

Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.

Hi Gary, I have Hypothroidism and have to take
synthroid. I need to have it checked before I go
to Orlando. That is the one thing I don't like about moving. Have to get all new Doctors and Dentist. frown Thank you for talking about it.
