Anyway, I bought a therabyte, which I still use, I paid about $300 for it (insurance would not cover it). I also rented a device called a Dynasplint for about $90 a month, insurance covered the difference. That thing really got my mouth opened, I used it about 9 months, turned it back in and began using the therabyte again, which I still try to use at least once a day...Love, Carol p.s. I can get you more information on the dynasplint if you want it.
Diagnosed May 2002 with Stage IV tongue cancer, two lymph nodes positive. Surgery to remove 1/2 tongue, neck dissection, 35 radiation treatments. 11/2007, diagnosed with cancer of soft palate, surgery 12/14/07, jaw split. 3/24/10, cancer on tongue behind flap, need petscan, surgery scheduled 4/16/10 ---update passed away 8-27-11---

Anything that I can do to get this mouth opened. You would think that as many people that have what we have that we could sale these things or give, I will give, to each other to save on costs to us or the insurance company. I don't know about the rest of you, but my insurance caps out at a certain amount. I think it is way way up there but still all the things I have had done since 1989, I am already over 1 million with my insurance company. I am always saying I have a million dollar plus mouth and it doesn't even work. Go figure...Thank you so much, Miss Vicki my email addy is [email protected] | | |
