Today I received this letter and a check for $3,440.00. Another event to help OCF has been completed, and we will soon put the full story of it with pictures up on the web site (Walk story and pics will go up at the same time, I am so far behind.) But I wanted you all to read it first hand. This is the story again of a small group of people making a difference in the world, and in the ability of OCF to continue our work.

Hello good people of the Oral Cancer Foundation

Enclosed you will find a check for $3440.00 from

Brian, stage 4 oral cancer survivor. OCF Founder and Director. The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. The last is to say thank you. In between, the leader is a servant.

This is what it is all about! To Dan Roth: thank you and good health to you!

I am going to pledge $344 (10%) of this donation as a matching donation. Bob Dylan spent some time here in Duluth (my home town) it is the least I can do. I challenge every one else that has ever read any of my posts to do the same. Call your friends, call your family, get $344 and send it in. It is a fun idea and remember "you gotta serve somebody"!!!!!

Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.

Mark, what a great idea!

Not a Dylan fan, but sure am an OCF fan. I can't seem to understand his words, but I follow everything on the site.

Brian, my donation for $344 is on it's way.

I'll be sending a thank you email to Greg.

Jerry

Dear Greg & Dan,

Thank you for your efforts on behalf of the Oral Cancer Foundation. I only wish I could have attended the concert. I am a Dylan fan and have been for a long time. My wife gave me a book written by Dylan for xmas. It was a good read.

Your donation will go to a great cause. There have been so many people helped by being able to
access the OCF. My hats off to the both of you.

Best Wishes, Danny Boy

Thanks for taking my challenge Jerry!

Any one else?

One more pledge and we will have an added $1032 to a very important cause...The OCF.

Invite 10 friends over for a barbeque and "charge" them a mere $34 bucks for dinner. Tax deductible and everything! Tell them how much this site has helped you. (we all know there are several cooks out there!?!?!?! laugh

Hi Mark and all- Since we are having some major issues with the ins.co. about what they consider to be covered in John's tx- I can't swing $344. right now. But I'm sending a check for $34.40 and hopefully will be able to add to that regularly. Amy
