He followed that with chemo/rad thru March, healed for a few months and then the shoulder/neck pain started. He has been in physical therapy twice a week for almost 2 months and that is helping but it's a slow process. God bless, Debbie
Debbie - Caregiver for husband, Dan, diagnosed with tongue cancer 7/03. Partial gloss., mod. neck dissections, graft. Recurrence neck tumor 12/03. Radical left neck dissection 12/24/03-unable to get all the tumor. 8 weeks chemo/rad beginning 1/12/04.

My shoulder pain went away gradually. I think it took a couple of months. I had some PT but that made it worse. It went away on it's own. I am real careful about lifting anything heavy with my right arm. I avoid that at all costs. Hope your treatment and healing go well!

Recurrance in June 05 in right tonsil area. Now receiving palliative chemo (Erbitux) starting 3/9/06
