The side of my neck that was dissected has been real tight & kinda sore for a week or so & I just thought I strained the muscles or something, which may be the case. Today however I was doing the normal stretching & sort of touching & rubbing my neck & there is a definite sore spot & very small lump or something right next to the big artery which is throbbing. I suppose if it wasn't I'd have other things to worry about! Of course I'm thinking the worst!

I am down to every 6 months or whenever the mood strikes me, and when I show up, the ENT always is surprised at the small lump that is a permanent fixture of my post-everything neck. Get it checked soon, but don't panic. | | |

My youngest daughter has some sort of bug & I think I may just have the same thing. It's funny how my neck hurts more than normal when I have a bug, now. It's really weird how I feel when I do get a bug now. It's like it's not full blown or I mentally reduce it or ignore it or I'm not sure. Kinda like I just don't have time to get sick after having gone through dx/tx last year. Hard to explain. Not even sure what I'm feeling. I sure kinda turn into an ass around the house. That's sure not good for the family. Erik

You can fix the drop shoulder through physical therapy & excersize. It took a few months, but I'm strong as ever & no dropped shoulder. I certainly pick heavy things up & carry them differently on the right side now. But I can do anything I use to. The pain in the neck just seems accentuated by a cold or flu. Yeah, I have to stretch my neck out all the time to keep it loosened up. Oh well! We are alive & living, huh? Erik
