I now have thick saliva in my mouth and don't like. Thats after 15 years of being cancer free. Guess I have to live with it. Cathy

Does it enable you to eat bread etc, or does it make eating more difficult for you? I guess that because you are finding it unpleasant it must be like having mucous in your mouth constantly. Are your doctors amazed or is it usual in very long term survivors?
Hope you don't mind all the questions - my mouth is very dry and I was told my saliva would never return.
I am always interested in how differently people respond to treatment for h&n cancer.
Love from Helen
