The good news is the Pet-Scan showed no activity in the area of my original cancer, the bad news is a fairly strong uptake, SUV 6, corresponding to the right hilar lymph node. This is suspicious for malignancy so follow-up is called for. Cat-Scan 3/11, Thoracic Surgeon on 3/22 for consultation. I'll keep you posted. I am at the 18 month mark and everything, except this issue and saliva, is back to pre-op status.

Hi Glen,

I hope it turns out to be a "machine error" Please keep us posted.

Hi Glen:
I had a PET scan result that lit up and signaled a possible recuurance on the opposite side of my tongue. Subsequent Neddle biopsy, Tissue Biopsy and combination PET/CAT scan showed no problem. I will take another PET scan April 23.

Good luck.

Thank you for the encouragement. I'm going to the tumor board on Monday and should have a better idea of what the deal is after that. I have my scans and it sure looks like I have something going on in my right lung, but we wil see. The real determination will come with the inevitable biopsy. I'll post an update after that. I'm not too upset since I have had the time to accept my new realities. Again, thanks. I thought the post got lost!
