This is suspicious for malignancy so follow-up is called for. Cat-Scan 3/11, Thoracic Surgeon on 3/22 for consultation. I'll keep you posted. I am at the 18 month mark and everything, except this issue and saliva, is back to pre-op status. | | |

Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.

Subsequent Neddle biopsy, Tissue Biopsy and combination PET/CAT scan showed no problem. I will take another PET scan April 23.

I'm going to the tumor board on Monday and should have a better idea of what the deal is after that. I have my scans and it sure looks like I have something going on in my right lung, but we wil see. The real determination will come with the inevitable biopsy. I'll post an update after that. I'm not too upset since I have had the time to accept my new realities. Again, thanks. I thought the post got lost!
